
Track And Field Opens Outdoor Season At River City Relays

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – North Florida Track and Field opened its outdoor season with impressive performances at the River City Relays, held at Hodges Stadium on Thursday.Â

"It was a nice opener for our outdoor season," Director of Cross Country/Track and Field Jeff Pigg said. "Katerina ran well in 400m Hurdles and Anika had a great 3000m Steeplechase. It was fun to kick off the outdoor season. Cole ran a very quick 3000m Steeplechase. Aiden looked good in the 1500m and our 200m times were solid for this time of year."

Junior Katerina Natsiopoulou placed second in the Women's 400m Hurdles, while redshirt senior Troy Williams and freshman Tayeshawn Ecklund-Rochelle each earned top-three finishes in the Men's 400m Hurdles. Junior Tyshone Bolden added a third-place finish in the Men's Long Jump.

Sophomore Matthew Groves placed third in the Men's 200m. Senior Ana Markovina and graduate student Aiden Arnold each finished second in their respective 1500m races. Junior Annika Buser posted a personal-best time of 10:44.72 to take the Women's 3000m Steeplechase.Â
