JACKSONVILLE, FLA. - North Florida Baseball won its second consecutive weekend series to start the season when it defeated Quinnipiac in walk-off fashion, 5-4, in a rubber match at Harmon Stadium on Saturday night.

North Florida split its Saturday doubleheader after it fell in the first game, 6-3.

North Florida stormed back from a 4-0 deficit with five runs in the final four innings to earn the series victory in the second game of the doubleheader.

Junior infielder Mitchell Collins got the scoring started in the nightcap with an RBI single in the bottom of the sixth. Junior infielder Mathew Farner drove in the second run for the Ospreys in the sixth with a single through the left side that cut North Florida's deficit to 4-2.

North Florida's three-run bottom of the ninth started with an RBI double to right-center off the bat of sophomore outfielder Carter White to bring the Ospreys within one run. Redshirt sophomore Sean Benjamin ended the game with a walk-off single to right to secure the series win.
