JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida Baseball fell in its midweek game to USC Upstate, 7-3, at Harmon Stadium on Tuesday.

Senior catcher Santiago Ordonez posted a solid 2-4 outing with two base hits and two RBI in his role as a designated hitter against Upstate.

Redshirt freshman outfielder Sean Benjamin tallied a mult-hit game for himself as well, going 2-4 with one run.

Sophomore utility player Seth Alford rounded out North Florida's offensive efforts with a 1-3 night while driving in an RBI and scoring one run.

Senior right-handed pitcher Ryan Furey registered a quality outing on the mound in 5.0 innings of scoreless work with three strikeouts.

Upstate scored three runs in the first inning and four in the seventh frame. North Florida fought hard in the bottom of the ninth to plate three runs, though it wasn't enough to overcome the eventual final margin.
