Men's Basketball Finalizes 2025-26 Schedule With Non-Conference Slate

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – North Florida Men's Basketball Head Coach Bobby Kennen finalized the 2025-26 schedule with the announcement of the non-conference slate on Tuesday. 
 
"North Florida is no stranger to a challenging non-conference slate," Kennen said. "As a program, we have consistently played one of the top schedules in the nation and this season is no exception with five 2025 NCAA Tournament participants. It will prepare our program for the rigor of the deep and highly competitive ASUN Conference."
 
"Our high major road games afford us the opportunity to compete against the elite of college basketball in some of the most iconic venues. Our mid-major road schedule includes the 2025 Southern Conference champions Wofford, in addition to programs from the Big South, Sun Belt, OVC and SWAC. We will host 2025 Ohio Valley Conference champions SIU Edwardsville and Ivy League Columbia inside UNF Arena. In addition, we will face New College of Florida in our Homecoming game and local opponent Trinity Baptist College. Every opportunity in front of us will serve as preparation for March 8th and the ASUN Championship."
 
North Florida battles six programs, five in non-conference action, that competed in the 2025 NCAA Tournament – Florida, Tennessee, Wofford, SIU Edwardsville, Gonzaga and Lipscomb. UNF will also face four conference champions – Florida (SEC), Wofford (SOCON), Gonzaga (WCC) and SIUE (OVC) in its non-conference slate. 
 
For the first time in program history, North Florida will compete with Tennessee, New College of Florida, Southern Miss and Columbia. 
 
North Florida opens its season with a pair of road games against SEC opponents, both who advanced to the Elite Eight in the 2025 NCAA Tournament in Florida and Tennessee. North Florida tips off its debut season under Kennen on the road at the reigning National Champion Florida on Nov. 6 inside Exactech Arena at the Stephen C. O'Connell Center in Gainesville, Fla. 
 
North Florida then heads to Knoxville, Tenn. to face Tennessee inside Food City Center on Nov. 12. North Florida returns home to celebrate Homecoming against New College of Florida on Nov. 15, which will be the first of four non-conference home games inside UNF Arena. 
 
North Florida heads to Spartanburg, S.C. to battle Wofford inside Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium on Nov. 15 to mark matchups with three 2025 NCAA Tournament teams – Florida, Tennessee and Wofford – and two conference champions – Florida and Wofford – in the initial four games. 
 
North Florida will remain in-state and heads to Pensacola, Fla. compete in the in-season MTE Pensacola Invitational in a pair of yet-to-be announced neutral-site games with Southern Miss, Tennessee Martin or Prairie View A&M on Nov. 22-23 inside the Pensacola Bay Center. North Florida returns home after Thanksgiving for two games against Trinity Baptist on Nov. 29 and SIU Edwardsville on Dec. 2. 
 
UNF plays four-straight non-conference road games in a 15-day stretch with three games against Power Four opponents. North Florida travels to Spokane, Wash. to face Gonzaga on Dec. 7 inside McCarthey Athletic Center and Dayton, Ohio to battle Dayton on Dec. 13 inside UD Arena. 
 
North Florida finalize its home-and-home with Charleston Southern inside Buc Dome on Dec. 18 and Miami (Fla.) inside Kaseya Center on Dec. 21. 
 
North Florida closes out non-conference action at home with Columbia on Dec. 28. 

The Atlantic Sun Conference announced 18-game conference schedule for North Florida on July 29. The ASUN Conference schedule will start on Thursday, Jan. 1 and run through Saturday, Feb. 28. The 2026 ASUN Men's Basketball Championship will be held from March 4-8 with the First Round played at the campus sites of Jacksonville and North Florida prior to the Quarterfinals, Semifinals and Final at Vystar Veterans Memorial Arena. North Florida will square off with crosstown rival Jacksonville in the River City Rumble on the road on Feb. 14 and at UNF Arena in the regular season finale on Feb. 28.
