
Men's Basketball Signs Elijah Elliott

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – North Florida Men's Basketball Head Coach Bobby Kennen announced Wednesday the signing of Elijah Elliott, a 6-3 junior guard from Ohio University.
"Elijah Elliott is a dynamic addition to our program," Kennen said. "His experience at Ohio University combined with the foundation built under Steve Reece at Florida HS power Oak Ridge HS as well as his development with the Florida Rebels of the EYBL has prepared him to make an immediate impact. He brings toughness, versatility, and a competitive edge that fits how we want to play. His skill set impacts winning on both ends of the floor. His play will elevate the energy inside the UNF Arena. We are elated to welcome Elijah and his family to the UNF family."
Elliott played in 13 games and started in five as a sophomore at Ohio in 2025-26. He averaged 4.1 points on 29.8 percent from the field, 22.7 percent from behind the arc and 22.7 percent from the free-throw line in 21.5 minutes per game before his season was cut short due to injury.
Elliott posted 26 assists, nine steals and three blocks in 13 games last season. He notched a season-high eight rebounds against Loyola Marymount on Nov. 25. Elliott dished out a season-high seven assists against Miami-Hamilton on Dec. 22. He scored a season-high six points three times last season.
A MAC All-Freshman Team selection at Ohio in 2024-25, Elliott played in 30 games and started in 14. He entered the starting lineup midway through Mid-American Conference play as a freshman. He averaged 5.1 points and 3.2 rebounds on 43.9 percent from the floor, 39.3 percent from three and 61.1 percent from the charity stripe in 16.4 minutes per game in 2024-25.
Elliott tallied 43 assists 12 steals and seven blocks total in 2024-25. He scored a career-high 14 points against App State on Feb. 8, 2025. Elliott recorded a career-high 10 rebounds and scored 11 points en route to his first career double-double against Muskingum on Dec. 30, 2024.
Prior to Ohio, Elliott played three seasons at Oak Ridge High School in Orlando, Fla., under Head Coach Steve Reece. In his junior season, Elliott averaged 10.1 points, 2.7 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 2.0 steals per game. Elliott spent the first half of his senior season at Sunrise Christian Academy in Wichita, Kan. He finished his senior season of high school back in Florida at Sun Coast Academy. Elliott played AAU for the Florida Rebels for four years.
Elliott joins transfer Hedrens "Jr" Bartelus (Chipola College, Lake Worth, Fla.) and a high school class of Isaiah Brown (Stranahan High School, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.), Christopher Perry (Bradwell Institute, Hinesville, Ga.) and Asa Kohn (Hagerty High School, Oviedo, Fla.).
