Swimming Reveals 2025-26 Competition Schedule

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida swimming reveals its schedule for the 2025-26 competition season, as announced by Head Coach Ian Coffey on Monday afternoon.

The Ospreys are set to host three meets at the UNF Competition Pool Complex. The season starts with an intrasquad home competition with the Blue/Grey Meet on Sept. 6, followed with the Osprey Beach Blast Invite from Oct. 10-11 and a dual meet against Georgia Southern on Oct. 25.

"I am very excited with our schedule for the 2025-26 season," Coffey stated. "Our program will be tested in every competition by swimming teams from the SEC, ACC, and ASUN conferences."

After the Blue/Grey Meet, UNF will travel down to face off against Rollins on Sept. 26 at Alfond Swimming Pool in Winter Park, Fla. They will take a short trip to Vanderbilt the following weekend and compete against the Commodores on Oct. 4 at Centennial Sportsplex in Nashville, Tenn.

The Osprey Beach Blast Invite will take place the next weekend from Oct. 10-11, as it returns from a one-year hiatus with last season's meet being canceled due to impending weather. The first meet day will start at 6 p.m., followed with 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. start times on the second day at the UNF Competition Pool Complex.

"We start off the season with two road meets at Rollins for the first time, as well as going to Vanderbilt the following weekend. We have not been to Vanderbilt since 2016, so we are looking forward to swimming against them in their home pool," said Coffey. "In mid-October, we'll be hosting the Osprey Beach Blast Invite. During this two-day, three-session invite, we will be swimming each session in the NIC meet format."

They will then make their annual trip to Tallahassee, Fla., for the Florida State Quad Meet on Oct. 24 at the Morcom Aquatics Center. This will be the fifth straight year that the Ospreys will make the trip down the Florida Panhandle.

On Oct. 25, North Florida will honor its senior swimmers against Georgia Southern on Senior Day for the third and final home meet of the season. It will be the first of two matchups with the Eagles, as they will make the trip up to Statesboro, Ga., in January.

After another three-day road trip for the Gamecock Invite from Nov. 19-21, select Osprey swimmers will compete in the CSCAA Open Water Championship at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, Fla. It's the fourth straight time traveling to Columbia, S.C., for South Carolina's home competition, as well as UNF's first appearance at the CSCAA Open Water Swim since the 2018-19 season.

"Later in October, we'll be swimming at the annual Florida State Quad meet and then swim against Georgia Southern the next day during our Senior Day," Coffey said about the quick turnaround. "Returning to the Gamecock Invite in November will be a good indication on where we are in the season. It's a great opportunity to suit up and race fast. We finish the first half of our season at the CSCCA Open Water event in Sarasota, Fla."

Following Christmas break, UNF returns the favor with Georgia Southern on the back-half of a home-and-home series on Jan. 10 at the Recreation Activity Center in Statesboro, Ga. Later in the month, they make their way down to Fort Myers, Fla., to see another ASUN foe in Florida Gulf Coast for their dual meet from Jan. 30-31 at FGCU Aquatics Center.

The regular season caps off at FGCU and the focus will move towards the Atlantic Sun Conference Swimming & Diving Championship from Feb. 17-21 hosted at Allan Jones Aquatic Center in Orlando, Fla. The five-day meet will feature all 10 ASUN teams, which includes Bellarmine, Delaware, FAU, FGCU, Garder-Webb, Georgia Southern, Old Dominion, Queens and UNC-Asheville.

"The second half of the season, we prepare for the ASUN Championships. January meets against Georgia Southern and Florida Gulf Coast will get us ready to swim fast in February," Coffey said on winter slate. "The ASUN Championship will be held in Orlando, Fla., this season, so we won't be traveling as far as usual. We are looking to score as many points as we can at the meet, as well as breaking records, moving up in the standings and getting to the postseason."

After the ASUN Championships, select swimmers for the Ospreys will finish out the 2025-26 competition season at the National Invitational Championship from Mar. 12-14 at the Florida Aquatics Swimming & Training in Ocala, Fla.
