GREENWOOD, Ind. - Allison Benning becomes the first player in North Florida softball D-I program history to be named CSC Academic All-America with a second team selection, as announced by the national organization on Tuesday afternoon.

Jeff Conrad. "As talented and committed as she is to her craft on the field, she works equally as hard in the classroom."
Benning was previously awarded CSC Academic All-District to be eligible for All-America consideration for a second consecutive season. She is the third Osprey across all sports to earn CSC Academic All-America honors over the past two seasons behind Ethan Ash and Smilla Kolbe.
The senior has now totaled five All-America awards this season from CSC, D1Softball, Softball America, 6-4-3 Charts and CSE. She was named D1Softball's Mid-Major Player of the Year and ASUN's Player & Pitcher of the Year as well.
From an academic perspective, she has now brought in CSC Academic All-District and All-America, ASUN Scholar Athlete of the Year and All-Academic Team, and ASUN Academic Honor Roll in 2025. She recently graduated from UNF with her bachelor's degree in communications with a 3.98 GPA.
The Lake Elmo, Minn., native pitched 170.1 innings with a 1.68 ERA, a 25-7 record and 179 strikeouts from the circle. She also dominated from the plate with a .414 batting average, 60 hits, 19 home runs and 50 RBI.

The 2025 Academic All-America® Softball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
