
Smilla Kolbe Set For Second NCAA Outdoor Track And Field Championship Appearance

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – North Florida track and field senior Smilla Kolbe will compete in the women’s 800-meter with a second consecutive appearance at the 2025 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore., which spans from June 11-14.
The meet will alternate each day between men’s and women’s events. Kolbe is scheduled to compete in the semifinal of the women’s 800-meter on Thursday, June 12 to earn her spot in the final on Saturday, June 14.
Kolbe, who currently boasts the number three time in the nation at 1:59.02, will compete among the top 24 qualifiers in the event. She will take part in the second heat of the semifinal on Thursday at 8:58 p.m. ET. The top nine times, the top-two times in each of the three heats and the next three best times, in the semifinal will advance to the final on Saturday at 10:14 p.m. ET.
The Hanover, Germany native looks to earn her second First Team All-American honor between the indoor and outdoor season in the event. She also seeks to improve on her Honorable Mention All-American finish at the 2024 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
