
Quartet of ASUN All-Conference Honorees Highlights Postseason Awards

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida baseball brought in four ASUN All-Conference selections, along with a pair of ASUN All-Freshman honorees and an ASUN All-Academic distinction, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
Kaden Humphrey led the way for the Ospreys as a relief pitcher with All-ASUN Second Team recognition. Starting pitcher Clay Hendry, catcher Santiago Ordonez and outfielder Nick Monile were all given All-ASUN Third Team honors in their debut seasons with UNF.
Infielder Seth Alford and starting pitcher Bryson Treichel continued the run of awards reeling in ASUN All-Freshman Team honors putting up big numbers in their first collegiate seasons. Connor Moore wrapped up the postseason distinctions as the lone Osprey to make the ASUN All-Academic Team with a 3.74 GPA while pursuing a degree in business management.
UNF has now finished its 13th consecutive season with at least one All-ASUN honoree, tracking all the way back to the 2012 season. It is also the 11th season over the past 12 years with at least one starting pitcher as an all-conference selection.
Humphrey becomes the third player in the past four seasons to be named to either the first or second team conference awards as a pitcher, following in the footsteps of former teammates Peter Holden and Tony Roca. Moore has also keep the ASUN All-Academic streak going with 12 consecutive seasons of having at least one honoree, dating back to the Ospreys' first selection in 2013.
North Florida has now totaled 60 all-conference selections, as well as 18 all-academic selections, in program history since joining the ASUN in 2006.
Junior right-handed pitcher Kaden Humphrey was invaluable out of the bullpen for the Ospreys this season. Humphrey appeared in 23 games and shoved for a 3.25 ERA and 11 saves. His batting average against was a sensational .190 over 27.2 innings while totaling 45 strikeouts. When Humphrey faced an elite SEC team in South Carolina during a midweek matchup, he brought his best stuff. Humphrey dealt two scoreless innings against the Gamecocks and tallied four strikeouts without allowing a hit. He notched a 1.23 WHIP against 100 batters faced.
Junior right-handed pitcher Clay Hendry was one of the top arms in the Ospreys' rotation all season. Hendry boasted a 6-4 record with a 3.49 ERA. In his 56.2 innings pitched this season, he totaled 63 strikeouts while allowing just 22 earned runs with a .223 opposing batting average. Hendry's best start of 2025 came on May 9 against Queens where he dealt seven scoreless innings, allowing just two hits while tallying a season-high eight strikeouts. He posted a 1.18 WHIP against 211 batters faced.
Junior catcher Santiago Ordonez recorded a .262 batting average with 13 RBI and six doubles. Ordonez has nine multi-hit games this season including a 3-3 performance against West Georgia on April 17. Behind the dish, Ordonez has 259 putouts, 21 assists and a .979 fielding percentage. On April 25, he threw out three runners in a home game against Stetson. Ordonez recorded 30 hits, five doubles and a .373 on base percentage.
Redshirt sophomore outfielder Nick Monile posted team-highs with a .346 batting average and 53 runs scored. Monile has played every game this season for the Ospreys and boasted a .950 OPS with five triples. His best performances came with two four-RBI games against Stetson and Jacksonville as well as a 3-5 outing against UCF which led to a walk-off single in the bottom of the ninth. Defensively, Monile has been solid as well, tallying 110 putouts in 54 games. Monile posted just 21 strikeouts in 192 at bats with a .484 on-base percentage. He also ranks inside the top 25 in Division I baseball with 50 walks. The redshirt sophomore totaled 66 hits, 10 doubles and 50 stolen bases.
Freshman infielder Seth Alford has been the heavy hitter for the Ospreys this season in just his first year of collegiate baseball. Alford mashed a .256 batting average and 31 RBI with nine home runs and 11 doubles. He also posted an .898 OPS and a team-high .541 slugging percentage. Alford posted a season-high with 5 RBI in a 2-4 outing against Queens. Against Stetson on April 25, Alford went 3-5 and belted two home runs while tallying a season-high seven assists. The freshman raked for 34 hits, 29 RBI, 72 total bases and a .357 on base percentage.
Right-handed pitcher Bryson Treichel was a key piece to the Ospreys' starting rotation throughout his freshman campaign. Treichel appeared in 14 games and compiled a 4-4 record with a 4.67 ERA over 61.2 innings. His command was stellar, striking out 74 batters while only walking 23. His 3.84 ERA was good for the eighth best in ASUN competition through mid-May, though his biggest strength may have been punching out batters on his own. Opposing teams had a difficult time taking Treichel deep, totaling just two home runs against the freshman right-hander in 2025 with a .266 batting average against. Treichel's 3.92 strikeout-to-walk-ratio is the sixth best in the ASUN. The freshman righty is also top three in the ASUN in total strikeouts with 74 strikeouts and ranks No. 62 nationally with 10.92 strikeouts per nine innings. In just his fifth collegiate start, Treichel held Jacksonville to one run over six innings and set a season-high with 10 strikeouts. He allowed just two home runs over his 60-plus innings pitched.
