
No. 17 Beach Volleyball Looks To Defend ASUN Championships Title

North Florida will be the No. 2 seed when it competes at the 2025 ASUN Championships in Huntsville, Ala.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – No. 2-seed and No. 17-ranked North Florida beach volleyball looks to defend its title when it travels compete at the 2025 ASUN Championships on Thursday-Saturday, April 24-26, at John Hunt Park in Huntsville, Ala.Â

North Florida has been a top-three seed each season under head coach Doug Wright and each since 2018. The Ospreys have advanced to the ASUN Championships Semifinals in all but one season. North Florida became the first team in conference history to sweep the entire ASUN Championships and earned its fifth title in program history in 2024.Â
North Florda will open its postseason run on Thursday against No. 7 seed Central Arkansas at 1 p.m. All matches are scheduled to stream live on ESPN+.Â
The ASUN conference announced North Florida tallied nine total 2025 All-ASUN Postseason selections on Wednesday. For the third-straight season, North Florida had the most combined selections between the ASUN First and Second Team with six honorees. North Florida has collected 26 such selections under Wright, the most in the conference during that time span.Â
North Florida remained at No. 17 in the 2025 AVCA Collegiate Beach Coaches Top 20 Week Nine Poll on Tuesday. The Ospreys have been ranked in every edition of the poll this season for the first time in program history.
