
Women's Tennis Opens Postseason Run With 2025 ASUN Championships

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – No. 2 seed North Florida women's tennis opens postseason play in search of its 11th conference title in program history when it hosts the 2025 ASUN Tennis Championship on Thursday-Saturday, April 17-19, at UNF Tennis Complex.Â
North Florida enters the postseason with a 12-7 record, 7-2 in ASUN action. The Ospreys have won seven of the last nine ASUN Championships and became the first ASUN women's tennis program in conference history to reach double-digit titles when it claimed its 10th since 2010 on its home court at the 2023 ASUN Tennis Championship.Â

North Florida clinched a top-two seed and a first-round bye at the 2025 ASUN Tennis Championship with its regular-season finale win at North Alabama. North Florida awaits its opponent and will battle the winner of the No. 3 seed/No. 6 seed match on Friday, April 18, at 5 p.m.Â

The ASUN conference office announced Wednesday that four Ospreys collected All-ASUN honors. Junior Laurie Barendse was named to the All-ASUN First Team, freshman Aryana Bartlett to the All-ASUN Second Team and ASUN All-Freshman Team, freshman Gabby Goyins to the ASUN All-Freshman Team and redshirt junior Isabel Oliveira to the Academic All-ASUN Team.Â

Barendse has totaled nine singles wins, all at the top court, with a 6-3 record in ASUN matches.
