JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida women's tennis took home five ASUN postseason honors with a pair of All-Conference selections, as released by the conference office on Wednesday afternoon.
Four Ospreys garnered five awards from the conference highlighted by junior Laurie Barendse reeling in ASUN First-Team All-Conference distinction. Aryana Bartlett followed with a pair of honors during her debut collegiate season as ASUN Second-Team All-Conference and ASUN All-Freshman Team.
Gabby Goyins was the second Osprey to be awarded ASUN All-Freshman Team joining Bartlett with the postseason distinction. Isabel Oliveira rounded out the quartet of UNF honorees as an ASUN All-Academic Team selection.
UNF continues its impressive 17-season streak of having at least one First Team All-ASUN selection dating back to the 2008 season. It is also the 16th consecutive season with an ASUN All-Freshman selection, as well as the third time since 2015 that two have garnered all-freshman honors.
On top of that, Oliveira's all-academic recognition continues a 13-year streak since 2012 of having at least one Osprey to the conference's academic team. All four Ospreys that brought in postseason accolades are either freshmen, newcomers or did not play last season due to injury.
COACH'S THOUGHTS
"Proud of each one of our players and their achievements. These things don't just happen overnight, but are a reflection of the work put in over time to be 1% better every day. Excited to get more this weekend!"
