FIRST PITCH - Baseball Returns Home To Face FGCU

3/27/2025 2:30:00 PM

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida baseball makes it return home from a five-game road trip to face off against Florida Gulf Coast from Mar. 28-30 at Harmon Stadium.

UNF will broadcast all three games on ESPN+ and updates will be made through live stats, as well as on X/Twitter at @OspreyBSB and Instagram at @OspreysBSB.

Last Time Out

The Ospreys are riding a stretch of wins in four of their last five games, all of which were on the road. They traveled to Queens for their debut road weekend series in ASUN play and swept the Royals on their home field. Carter White and Cade Bush were hot from the plate combining for three home runs over the first two games of the series. Kaden Humphrey shut the door in the series finale during the top of the ninth to secure the two-run victory and the road sweep.

Scouting Florida Gulf Coast

FGCU goes into the weekend with a 9-16 overall record and a 1-5 mark in ASUN games. The Eagles have struggled on the road so far this season with a 2-8 record away from Fort Myers, Fla. After their ASUN-opening win against Stetson, they dropped their next seven games against Stetson, USF and West Georgia. FGCU got back on its feet early this week with a 3-2 win over RV FAU.

Series History

North Florida is 27-35 all-time against the Eagles looking for its first win since the 2023 season, where they won the series with victories in the first two games. The Ospreys are 11-19 at home against FGCU, as well as 22-23 against them in conference play. A series win this weekend would make UNF .500 or better against FGCU since May 2, 2021.
