Swimming Sets Five Top-Ten Program Times on Final Day of Atlantic Sun Championships

Ospreys Break a Total of Four School Records Over Course of Four Day Meet

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - North Florida women's swimming saw yet another day filled with top-ten program times and personal bests as the Ospreys wrapped up the 2025 Atlantic Sun Swimming & Diving Championships on Saturday. 

Ashley Kephart and Ellie Hixenbaugh both had a solid final day, with both swimmers recording two top-ten program times apiece. Kephart notched the fourth and ninth fastest 100-yard freestyle times in program history while Hixenbaugh secured the fifth fastest 200-yard breaststroke time and tied the eighth fastest at the evening finals. 

The group of Kephart, Victoria Torres, Riley McCormick and Marcia Shaw were just over a second shy of breaking the school record for the 400-yard freestyle relay to conclude the meet, finishing in 3:25.79.

All told, the Ospreys broke a total of four school records over the course of the four day meet, while setting 23 top-ten program times. School records were broken in the 100-yard freestyle (2x), 200-yard freestyle relay, 200-yard medley relay and the 400-yard medley relay.

  • Torres swam the 10th fastest 100-yard freestyle in the morning prelims, finishing with a time of 51.59 
  • Kephart led the Ospreys with four top-ten program times over the course of the meet
  • In the two years that UNF has competed at the ASUN Championships, eight school records have been broken 
  • Katie Carlos and Amanda Loomis both earned top-15 finishes in the 200-yard backstroke finals, touching the wall in 2:03.72 and 2:04.00, respectively
  • Hannah Gnatt secured a third place finish in the 1,650-yard freestyle with a time of 17:29.51

"It was a very good week at the ASUN Championships! We had many personal bests and four school records were broken. We finished off the last day with some excellent swims from Ashley Kephart, Riley McCormick, Victoria Torres, Amanda Loomis, and Ellie Hixenbaugh. Our 400-yard freestyle relay group closed out the meet a little under a second off the school record.
