Baseball Slugs Three Home Runs In Win Against FAMU

Ospreys Record 15 Hits In 13-3 Win
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -Â Carter White and Seth Alford combined to hit three home runs as the North Florida Ospreys defeated the FAMU Rattlers 13-3 from Moore-Kittles Field.
UNF (2-2) struck first in the top of the first inning. Nick Monile led off the inning with a single. He stole second two batters later, and came around to score on an RBI single from Jabin Bates.
The Ospreys extended their lead in the second. Drew Leinenbach worked a leadoff walk. Santiago Ordonez followed with a single to put two runners on. With runners at first and second, Brady Browning smoked an RBI double to make it 2-0. Seth Alford then picked up an RBI on a ground ball that plated Ordonez. With Monile at the plate, Browning scampered home on a wild pitch. After the wild pitch, Monile singled to left field. With a runner at first, Carter White (1) clobbered a two-run home run to make it a 6-0 game
Up 6-0 in the third, Ordonez reached on an error. Two batters later, Alford singled and advanced Ordonez to third. With runners at the corners, Ordonez scored on a fielder's choice to bring the North Florida run total to seven.
The Rattlers (1-3) responded in the fourth. Jay Campbell singled to start the inning. He stole second two batters later. Matthew Perez walked to put runners at first and second. With two on and one out, Ben Kim hit a grounder to first base. The throw from first to second went into left field and Campbell scored on the error. Two batters later, Colton Ryals drove in two on a single to make it 7-3.
UNF countered in the fifth. Monile walked and White (2) smashed his second home run of the game to go up 9-3. Following the home run, Moore singled. After stealing second and moving to third on a ground out, Moore would score on a single from Leinenbach.
The bats did not slow down in the sixth. Browning walked to start the inning. With a runner at first, Alford (1) clobbered a two-run home run, the first of his career. The blast put the 'Spreys up 12-3.
UNF tacked on one more in the seventh. A balk forced home the 13th run for North Florida. A scoreless bottom of the inning secured a run-rule win for the Ospreys.
