VERO BEACH, Fla. - Redshirt junior Filippo Serra was carded a pair of rounds in the 60s to set himself up in the top five overall at the Quail Valley Collegiate Invitational hosted by USF on Sunday, Oct. 19, at Quail Valley Golf & River Club.
Serra is on track for the best 54-hole showing of his Osprey tenure with a 9-under 135 score through two rounds, as he will need to score even-par 72 in the final round to match his career-best mark. He set the three-round score of 207 at the Ka'anapali Classic Collegiate last season on the par-71 course.
The Geneva, Switzerland, native is also looking to place in the top five for the second time in his career. He would be following up his third-place individual finish at the World Golf Village Classic, where he helped lead the Ospreys to a team tournament title.
