Scored Four Runs to Break Tie Game in Fifth Inning
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida softball (13-8) put up late scoring once again with the lead being held behind three arms to secure a 6-2 victory over Marist (13-5) on the second day of the Jacksonville Spring Break Challenge on Saturday afternoon.
The Ospreys were tied 1-1 going into the fifth inning, but three RBI singles from Allison Benning, Shannon Glover and Logan Jackson were all that was needed to take home a third consecutive win. Benning started the game in the circle, but it was Halle Arends who spun four innings with no runs allowed to notch her third win on the year.
