Benning Spins Six Scoreless Innings, Berry Closes Hitless Game

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida softball (12-8) had impeccable pitching performances from Allison Benning and Kylah Berry to combine for a no-hit bid for the Ospreys against USC Upstate (8-11), 7-0, on Friday evening.

UNF hung on to an early lead through five innings before opening it completely up in the sixth to expand to a seven-run margin. Benning struck out seven batters in six innings before Berry sealed the deal in a shutout win on neutral grounds across town.

Benning & Berry makes its three seasons in a row with a no-hitter for the Ospreys.
The last time UNF spun a no-hit bid was Skyler Stockie last season against Georgia Southern.
Logan Jackson had multiple RBIs, while Shannon Glover had multiple hits and Madisyn Federico had multiple runs scored.
Hadlee Reichert is riding a nine-game hitting streak, followed by Glover with six games.
Federico, Jackson and Reichert have all reached base in nine consecutive games, with Glover right behind once again with seven.
