Murray and Espy Tally Their 40th Win as a Pair

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida beach volleyball (15-7) concluded the home portion of its season on Senior Day Saturday, sweeping both Mercer (15-11) and the College of Charleston (7-13) to end the North Florida Invite undefeated, extending its unbeaten run to six matches.

UNF saw multiple pairs go undefeated throughout the weekend with Mariana Feliciano Sanchez and Mackenzie Murphy improving their record to 18-4 on the season. Cameron Humphries and Hayden Wooldridge improved to 16-2 and the pair are on track to have the best doubles record in a single season in program history.

Before the Ospreys match against Mercer, Seniors Kelly Negron, Anna Mallory, Hallie Phelan, Iris Fletcher and Michaela Rezentes were all honored for their contributions to the program on and off the sand.

The Ospreys kicked off Senior Day Saturday sweeping Mercer for the second time this season. Both the four and five slots were taken to three sets, but the pairs of Iris Fletcher/Katie Camp and Cameron Humphries/Hayden Wooldridge prevailed. Feliciano Sanchez/Murphy tallied their 17th win of the season, winning in two sets. Presley Murray/Madison Espy allowed just 10 points in the first set, leading them to victory in two sets. Michaela Rezentes/Taylor Pierce got back to winning ways, clinching the sweep in two sets.

The Ospreys capped off their final home match against the College of Charleston with back-to-back sweeps. Fletcher/Camp and Humphries/Wooldridge got UNF out to an early 2-0 lead, taking their matches in two sets. Rezentes/Pierce dispatched of their opponents in a quick two-setter before Murray/Espy added another match point on court two. Feliciano Sanchez/Murphy clinched the sweep on court three for their 18th win of the season.
