Ospreys Sweep Pacific, Take Down Santa Clara, 4-1

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - North Florida beach volleyball (11-7) got back to winning ways to conclude its West Coast road trip with a 5-0 sweep over University of the Pacific and a 4-1 victory against Santa Clara at California Polytechnic State University on Sunday.

It was the Ospreys first-ever matchup with both teams as UNF recorded its first sweep of the weekend against Pacific. Five different pairs went undefeated on the day with Mariana Feliciano Sanchez and Mackenzie Murphy tallying their 14th win of the season, a team-high.

The Ospreys started the match 1-0 due to a forfeit from Pacific in flight five, granting Iris Fletcher/Katie Camp the win. Cameron Humphries/Hayden Wooldridge took their match in two sets, as did Presley Murray/Madison Espy, who clinched the winning match point for UNF. Michaela Rezentes/Taylor Pierce took care of business on their court and Feliciano Sanchez/Murphy only allowed eight points in the second set to secure the 5-0 sweep.

The Ospreys jumped out to an early 2-1 lead with Espy/Murray and Humphries/Wooldridge picking up wins on their respective courts. The pair of Kelly McConeky and Iris Fletcher won their court in three sets to secure the win for UNF while Feliciano Sanchez/Murphy added the fourth match point with their 14th win of the campaign.
