
Fast Times Highlight Swimming's First Day at FGCU

Hixenbaugh and Kephart Tally First-Place Finishes
FORT MYERS, Fla. - North Florida women's swimming highlighted the first day of its final dual meet of the competition season with three first-place finishes and a top-ten program time against FGCU on Friday afternoon.
Sophomore Ellie Hixenbaugh and Senior Ashley Kephart brought in first-place finishes in back-to-back fashion for the Ospreys with the group of Kephart, Riley McCormick, Ella Chang, and Paige Munna taking first in the 400-yard freestyle relay. Sophomore Aydan Horrigan recorded the sixth fastest 400-yard individual medley time in program history, touching the wall in 4:28.58.

- Kephart followed up with a first-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle touching the wall in 1:56.35
- Ashley Kirby brought in a second-place finish in the 50-yard breaststroke with a time of 29.83.
- Sara Maschmeier, Ashley Kirby, and Kephart, all made it to the final round of their respective skins event.
- Victoria Torres had four top-four finishes on the day, with her best being a second-place finish in the 100-yard individual medley with a time of 58.59.
- The Ospreys rounded off the day with a first-place finish in the 400-yard freestyle relay, with Kephart, McCormick, Chang and Munna clocking in at 3:36.43.
