Ospreys Sweep Palm Beach Atlantic, Come Up Short Against FIU

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida beach volleyball concluded its opening weekend at the Jacksonville Invitational with a 5-0 sweep of Palm Beach Atlantic, but were barely edged out by FIU in a 3-2 thriller on Saturday afternoon.

The Ospreys dominated against Palm Beach Atlantic in its second sweep of the weekend with all courts finishing in two sets and the pair of Mariana Feliciana Sanchez and Mackenzie Murphy allowing only eight points to the Sailfish in their final set.

UNF and FIU came down to the wire in a match where the duo of Presley Murray and Madison Espy took their court to a third set, but ultimately fell to a strong FIU team ranked 13th in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) poll.
