GAINESVILLE, Fla. - North Florida men's tennis had outstanding performances on the second day of play at the Bedford Cup hosted by Florida with four wins in singles and two wins in doubles on Saturday afternoon.
Jean Deloziere picked up a pair of singles victories in straight sets against USF and FGCU, while also teaming up with
Bruno Vietri to win both doubles matches as well against FGCU pairs, to go undefeated on the day. After falling in both singles and doubles in the main draw on Friday, the freshman bounced back with big performances in all four matches played at UF.
Andreas Scott continued his stellar weekend as well, pulling out a 7-5, 6-4 singles victory in straight sets to advance to the semifinals of the main draw. He will start by facing Elijah Cham from USF on the third and final day of the tournament weekend with the winner facing either Antonio Prat from Miami or Azariah Rusher from Florida State.
North Florida finishes off the three-day tournament weekend at the Bedford Cup hosted by Florida with the semifinal and final rounds on Sunday, Oct. 27.
