Swann Led Ospreys With 11 Points
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida women's basketball (6-10, 0-2) fought struggles throughout the game in a 70-38 loss to Florida Gulf Coast (12-4, 2-0) on Saturday afternoon at UNF Arena.
Lyric Swann led the Ospreys in scoring with 11 first-half points, while Emma Broermann set a season-high for blocks with three total against the Eagles. Selma Eklund paced the teams in rebounds with seven with freshman Alexa Washington shooting perfect from the charity stripe going 4-for-4.

First Half: The Ospreys opened the scoring up from the free-throw line after Jayla Adams was fouled in the first moments of the game...Kaila Rougier tied things up with a layup after an FGCU three-pointer...Swann followed up with back-to-back threes to close out the first quarter...Sarah Taub would later find Swann for another trey before Taub knocked down shots from the charity stripe...Swann hit a jumper with just under two minutes left in the half with the Ospreys going into the break down 42-15.
Second Half: Rougier came out of the half hot after hitting a jumper before assisting Helena Rafnsdottir on a three...Rougier then drained a pair of free throws from the line....Kyla Cain grabbed her first bucket to close out the third...Rougier kept her foot on the gas putting up another layup out of the intermission before Broermann secured her first points of the afternoon...Washington sank a quartet of free throws, while Broermann drained her third trey of the campaign...Rafnsdottir would knock down her second three of the game, but ultimately the Ospreys fell, 70-38, to the Eagles in its second ASUN Conference game of the season.
