Ospreys Currently Set to Play Three Tournaments
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - UNF women's tennis has its eyes set on the next season in pursuit of another NCAA Championship appearance, beginning with a three-tournament fall slate.
The Ospreys are currently set to play a tournament in September, October and November, including the Bedford Cup, ITA Regionals and UNF Fall Invite.
The annual in-state tournament known as the Bedford Cup is set to be hosted at USF between Sept. 29 and Oct. 1. UNF makes a return to Gainesville, Fla., Oct. 19-23 when the Ospreys play in the ITA Regionals.Â
UNF gets another chance to host fall tennis as the Ospreys welcome quality teams for the UNF Fall Invite Nov. 10-12. It will mark the third-straight fall UNF hosts a fall tournament.Â
UNF's roster features five returners and two newcomers. Graduate transfer Amy Kaplan comes to UNF from Ball State where she put up phenomenal career numbers, going 73-15 while reaching the NCAA Tournament each season.
Alisa Lyshko is currently UNF's lone true freshman. A native of Vladivostok, Russia, Lyshko was a four-star recruit by tennisrecruting.net.
