LOUDON, Tenn. - Nick Gabrelcik turned in a career-best 18-hole score of 8-under 62, which also sets a new program record, to share a runner-up finish at the Visit Knoxville Collegiate hosted by Tennessee on Sunday afternoon.
Gabrelcik led North Florida men's golf to start the fall season with a fifth-place finish among a 14-team field. The three-time ASUN Golfer of the Year jumped from a share of 19th at even-par after the first round to 10-under 200 with back-to-back rounds in the 60s to finish in second overall.
The senior played his best golf on the back nine, as he scored 5-under with five birdies. He also recorded an eagle on the par four on hole six, as well as only having one bogey during the entirety of the final round.
UNF finished ahead of schools including Virginia Tech, Cincinnati, Wisconsin, Nebraska and Clemson.

- Andrew Riley led the team in pars with 35 total, as he scored straight pars on the front nine of the final round on his way to 9-over 219 combined.
- Chase Carroll completed a nice debut with a 2-over 72 final round to join Riley tied for 48th overall.
- Davis Lee finished strong with five birdies to place just outside the top 50 at 10-over 220 combined.
- The Ospreys totaled 157 pars and 53 birdies combined through three rounds, as the were third among the field with total birdies.
- UNF finished the tourney with top five in both par-four (18-over) and par-five (10-under) scoring averages.
- They were also one of eight teams to have a player score at least one eagle.
