
PREVIEW: ASUN Outdoor Track and Field Championships

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida track and field is set to host its 14th-consecutive ASUN Outdoor Championships from May 11-13 at the Visit Jax Track at Hodges Stadium.
The Ospreys will face off against the best of the best in the conference over the three days of competition over the weekend. Last season, Aidan O'Gorman, Robert Pedroza and Kaley Petrosky made their marks for the Ospreys after medaling in the top three. Timothy Doyle and Ryan Thomas also qualified for finals in their respective events.
LAST TIME OUT
Men
- Macauley Franks earned a new personal-best in the men's 800m.
- The graduate transfer notched a second-place rank overall in the race in just 1:48.92.
- Doyle snagged a sixth-place finish for the men's 800m.
- Ladarius Tellis finished second in respective heat and came out in 11th on the leaderboard at 1:51.09.
- Aiden Arnold earned himself a spot just behind Tellis in the top 12, tallying a new lifetime mark of 1:51.22.
- Thomas rounded out the group with a lifetime mark of 15.00 in the men's 110m hurdles and went top 20 overall.
Women
- Emma Jane Schlageter led the flock in the women's 1500m.
- Schlageter punched fourth place in her heat and a top 12 leaderboard rank.
- Erica Fisher and Hannah Martin went top 16 with new lifetime bests.
- Fisher earned a new personal best of 4:40.85.
- Martin marked a lifetime achievement of 4:44.28 in the race.
- Ella Chandler got the pace going, placing 19th overall in the women's 800m.
- Petrosky rounded out the group with a phenomenal performance in women's high jump.
- The Middleburg, Fla., native notched a top-10 rank in the event.
- Petrosky punched a 1.66m leap, outranking contenders from UCF, Kennesaw State and USF.
NOTABLE OPPONENTS
The North Florida men and women will compete against the strongest competitors in the conference for a chance at medals and All-ASUN selections. Conference competitors include Bellarmine, Jacksonville, Eastern Kentucky, Lipscomb, Liberty, Kennesaw, Queens, Jacksonville State and Central Arkansas.

The Osprey men and women will wrap up the ASUN Championship and will wait to see if they get selected for the NCAA East Prelims from May 24-27 hosted by UNF at Hodges Stadium at Visit Jax Track.
