Men's Tennis Falls Short in ASUN Championship

FGCU Defeats UNF, 4-0

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – UNF men's tennis (16-7, 7-1 ASUN) came up short in the ASUN Championship against Florida Gulf Coast (15-8, 7-1 ASUN) Saturday morning in UNF's first trip to the finals since the 2019 campaign.
 
In doubles, PJ Kotan and Bruno Vietri started off strong by securing a 6-2 win on the second court, yet Jonas Hartenstein and Rodrigo Crespo were defeated at the top slot. FGCU clinched the doubles point on the third court.
 
FGCU continued its lead as top-seeded Magnus Jognson defeated Hartenstein in two sets, while Crespo fell in three sets at the second court. Eric Oncins for the Eagles clinched the win over Kotan in the fifth position to clinch the win as the remaining courts were left unfinished.
 
The Ospreys complete their season with a 16-7 record and only one loss in regular season conference play.
