6-9 Lefty Forward Logged 95 Games Played for Bison
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida men's basketball makes another offseason move in adding experienced graduate transfer Jake van der Heijden, a 6-9 lefty forward from Bucknell University.
Coming out of Ravenscroft High School in Raleigh, N.C., van der Heijden started 39 of the 95 games he played for the Patriot League program.

He has also exhibited an ability to score around the rim, in transition and is a great offensive rebounder that has a positive assist-to-turnover ratio. All of his traits make him extremely efficient offensively. Having a pedigree that includes having both parents play professionally and his brother at UNC Wilmington makes this a seamless fit. - Registered 95 games, 35 starts, 1,574 minutes, 368 points, 209 rebounds, 67 assists, 35 blocks and 26 steals
- Drained 78 three-pointers at Bucknell, shooting a sizzling 41.4 percent during his junior campaign
- Started all 32 games for the Bison in 2021-22, posting 11 double-digit scoring efforts including a 20-point game against Army
