
Women's Golf Shares Fourth on Opening Day of ASUN Championship

OWENS CROSS ROADS, Ala. - No. 100 North Florida women's golf opens postseason play with a top-four position among the conference field during the first round of the ASUN Championship on Sunday afternoon.
The Ospreys sit tied for fourth with No. 73 Kennesaw State and Eastern Kentucky at 20-over par after putting two players in the top 15 individuals. They sit 10 strokes back of Florida Gulf Coast, who holds the lead though 18 holes at the conference meet.
Kaitlynn Washburn stands tall as the lead Osprey scoring during the first day with 12 total pars to notch a top-six standing. She has her sights set on her first top-25 finish of her career after matching her career-high 18 hole score for a fourth time this season at 2-over 74.
