Beach Volleyball Completes Weekend Sweep

Ospreys Defeat Charleston and Jacksonville
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - UNF beach volleyball (5-3) defended its home court with the completion of a 4-0 weekend after sweeping Charleston and battling out a 3-2 win against rival Jacksonville Saturday, March 4 from The Coop.
UNF has won four-straight games and finished the weekend as the lone team to go perfect over the last two days in Jacksonville.

North Florida battled through violent winds and consistent rain to sweep (RV) Charleston, getting two three-set wins in order to complete the clean sheet against the Cougars.
Freshmen Presley Murray and Madison Espy improved to 7-0 on the year as a pair, clinching the third slot. UNF's first and second pairs in Audrey Brooks and Iris Fletcher, along with Michaela Rezente and Katie Camp, both took three-set wins.
The win makes UNF 8-4 all-time against Charleston and winners of its last four against the Cougars.

The Ospreys would get more resistance from an improved JU team in the weekend finale as UNF grinded out a 3-2 win against the Dolphins. Rezentes and Camp came up with the clinch this time, with a 22-20 decision in a dramatic second set clinching the match in front of a full-supporting squad.Â
Prior to that, UNF won at the fourth slot with a dominant effort from Mariana Feliciano-Sanchez and Mackenzie Murphy. Murray and Espy's perfect run to 8-0 also featured a 22-20 win, with theirs coming in the first set.
