JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida softball looks to get back in the win column with a midweek doubleheader matchup against Florida Atlantic on Wednesday, Mar. 22, starting at 3 p.m., at the UNF Softball Complex.
UNF and FAU have split their last two doubleheader meetings in 2017 and 2021, while this is only the second time in program history hosting the Owls.
Both matchups are hosted at the UNF Softball Complex and will be broadcasted on SWOOPLife Live. Updates for each game will be made through live stats, as well as on Twitter at OspreySB.
The Ospreys stay in Jacksonville for the weekend when they host their ASUN-home opener against Stetson from Mar. 25-26 at the UNF Softball Complex.

WHAT TO KNOW
- Ospreys look to break a four-game losing streak after riding a six-game winning streak through the UNF Invitational weekend.
- This will be one of five remaining midweek matchups for UNF, as this is also one of three at home and one of two doubleheaders.
- They are 2-1 in midweek games this season with their latest being a win against Bethune-Cookman at home.
- Shannon Glover and Chloe Culp have combined for 58 of the Ospreys' 159 total hits this season, as they have batting averages of .385 and .384 respectively.
- Glover and Culp were the only ones with multiple hits during the UCA series this past weekend.
- UNF has the second-most doubles in the ASUN with 36 total, while Culp is the conference leader per game at 0.36.
- Culp has driven in 28 total RBIs, which also ranks first in the ASUN and just outside the top 25 nationally.
- Ashley Connor is eighth in the nation as well for total saves with three total through her first 13 appearances.
- Connor pitched nine of the 14 total innings pitched against the Bears during ASUN opening weekend.
OPPONENT NOTES
- Florida Atlantic enters the midweek doubleheader with a 19-10 record overall, as well as a 3-3 record in the C-USA and a 2-3 record on the road. They recently opened conference play taking two or three against UAB, but only won one game against Charlotte. FAU has a flurry of Power Five wins with Iowa, Boston College and North Carolina all suffering defeat to the Owls. They also played in the FGCU Invitational going 1-3 in a pair of games against Lipscomb and FGCU. Cammeo Presutti has been the Owls' best hitter through 29 games with 36 hits (.367) and seven RBIs, as well as 18 runs scored. Sara Berthiaume and Zoey Jones also having batting averages over .300, while Jesiana Mora has the second-most hits on the team with 28 total. Gabby Sacco is the FAU ace with a 10-2 record and a 1.08 ERA. She also has 51 strikeouts and seven complete games in 71.1 innings pitched. Ainsley Lambert and Lynn Gardner fill out the rest of the FAU rotation each having under a 3.00 ERA.
- UNF trails the overall series against the Owls, 6-4, with the last meeting being a 12-4 defeat at Jacksonville, Fla., in 2021.
