Gabrelcik Finishes Top Five, Higgins Tied for Sixth
GAINESVILLE, Fla. - North Florida men's golf turned in their sixth top-four team finish of the season after scoring 13-over for the weekend at the Gator Invitational hosted by Florida on Sunday afternoon.
The Ospreys finished up their final three holes of the second round that was halted due to darkness on Saturday and continued on with the final round to place fourth among 13 teams. They finished the weekend ahead of a couple ranked ASUN opponents in No. 51 FGCU and No. 59 Stetson, as well as No. 93 Penn State.
Nick Gabrelcik led UNF once again with the 18th top-five individual finish of his career after shooting 3-under at Florida. Robbie Higgins was also close behind the fellow junior at 1-under to place in the top 10 for a fourth time on the year.

ROUND REFLECTIONS
- Gabrelcik put together 12 pars and a birdie in the final round for a 3-under 207 performance in Gainesville.
- Higgins also had 12 pars during Sunday's round with two birdies to finish tied for sixth at 1-under 209.
- Both juniors played well on par-four holes with Gabrelcik at 3-under and Higgins at even-par inside the top 10.
- Gabrelcik and Higgins also finished with 39 total pars, tied for the third most in the field, as well as a top-10 par-three average with both at 1-over.
- Justin Ross finished off his team debut for the Ospreys with four birdies on the day to finish tied for 34th at 8-over 218.
- He joined Gabrelcik with the most birdies by an Osprey on the weekend with nine total.
- Cooper Smith and Davis Lee combined for three birdies in the final round to wrap up the group with both just outside the top 50.
- Alejandro Ramos notched a birdie on each side of the course to finish his weekend at 17-over 227 as an unattached player.
- The Ospreys had two players among the top 10 individuals of an event for a third consecutive tournament, along with the fourth time this season.
- UNF finished in the top five for par-three average (16-over), par-four average (13-over) and total pars (175).
