
Wrapping Up the Fall at the Ka'anapali Classic Collegiate

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida men's golf closes out play in the fall season by flying out of the Continental United States for the Ka'anapali Classic Collegiate hosted by Hawaii from Oct. 26-28 in Lahaina, Haw.
The Ospreys have strung together four straight top-five team finishes to start their season, while also having the top performers from their first three meets be selected for ASUN Golfer of the Week. They look to bring momentum into the spring with a solid showing throughout this week on the islands of Hawaii.

TOURNAMENT NOTEBOOK
- The Ospreys end their fall in Hawaii for the second season in a row at the Ka'anapali Classic Collegiate from Oct. 26-28.
- Nick Gabrelcik finished as the runner-up last season with a 16-under 197 score (65-65-67).
- Robbie Higgins also has experience playing across the country with his 4-under 209 score that tied for 27th overall.
- UNF will have a chance to finish its fall season with top-five finishes in all five meets.
- Gabrelcik and Higgins have combined for five top-10 finishes, seven top-25 placements, six tournaments under par, 14 rounds under par and three ASUN Golfer of the Week honors through four events.
- Will end the fall season with a three-day tournament for the first time since their season debut in Tennessee.
- Will also go back to competing on a par-71 course for the first time since the Windon Memorial Classic.
- Set to face off against the biggest field they've faced so far this year with 20 total teams travelling for the tournament.
- Event will feature five Power Five teams, including Clemson, Colorado, Georgia, Kansas and Oklahoma.
- Will be the only team representing the ASUN, as well as the state of Florida at the Ka'anapali Classic Collegiate.
- The Ospreys' lineup will feature two seniors, a redshirt junior, a junior and a freshman.
- One round of 18 holes total will be played on each day from Thursday through Saturday.
FROM THE 19TH HOLE
- Gabrelcik is coming off another top-10 placement at the Quail Valley Collegiate after placing tied for seventh finishing with back-to-back rounds in the 60s. He will have his sights set on finishing the fall with a top-25 finish and a tournament under par in all five fall events.
- Higgins matched Gabrelcik finishing inside the top 10 at 8-under 208 in their last tournament at Quail Valley. He's the only other Osprey outside of Gabrelcik to have a top-25 finish and multiple events under par.
- Jason Duff will play in his third event of the season after averaging 73.33 with three rounds under par and a tournament under par. He'll look to get off to a hot start in Hawaii for a third consecutive tournament after scoring a season-best 2-under 70 in the opening round at Quail Valley.
- Chase Carroll makes the lineup for the Ka'anapali Classic Collegiate as a true freshman as the fourth player in the lineup. He has the third-best average on the team at 72.22 per round with a pair of rounds under par, including a 2-under 68 in the opening round at Tennessee.
- Andrew Riley returns to the lineup for the Ospreys after not being a part of the lineup in Vero Beach, Fla. He played in each of the first three tournaments with his best team finish being third in the Visit Knoxville Collegiate.
