Ospreys Honor Six Players for Senior Night
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida men's soccer (2-7-4, 0-5-1) suffered a tough loss in its home regular season finale against Queens (N.C.) (4-8-2, 2-4-0), 1-0, on Saturday evening at Hodges Stadium.
The Ospreys were in a defensive stalemate with Queens through the first 45 minutes, but allowed the first goal of the game in the 59th minute. UNF had opportunities with multiple attacks late in the second half, led by Joaquin Acuna with three shots on goal, but were not able to cash in during the shutout loss.

The Ospreys return early next week with midweek non-conference action against Mercer on the road Tuesday, Oct. 24, at 6 p.m., in Macon, Ga.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first shot was taken in the 14th minute by Queens with Chema Preciado reaching out to make the save in the left corner of the net.
- Rentaro Miyakawa made an attempt shortly after in the 16th minute, but it flew over the crossbar and out of bounds.
- In the 31st minute, Preciado made another crucial save in the bottom center of the goal to keep the score tied at 0-0.
- The first half ended with Preciado's third save of the night in the 39th minute, taking the match to the break, 0-0.
- Shots were exchanged between both teams to start the second half, including two shots on goal by Acuna in over a 90-second span.
- Queens broke through with the first score of the night with a header finding the back of the net in the 59th minute.
- Back-to-back shots were attempted just moments after, but the one-timers by Acuna and Ethan Ash were saved by the Royals.
- Braden Masker and Alex Barnett had the last chances at equalizers, but were unable to force the draw in the 1-0 loss at home.
