Anton Khelil Named To United Soccer Coaches Watch List

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – United Soccer Coaches announced that University of North Florida Men's Soccer senior midfielder Anton Khelil has been named to the 2026 Missouri Athletic Club Hermann Trophy Positional Players to Watch List for Midfielders ahead of the season.
Khelil was one of 32 midfielders in the nation and the only from the ASUN Conference selected to the list.
The lists are compiled and released by the Division I All-America Committees to promote college soccer leading up to the official start date for the regular season. The lists include United Soccer Coaches All-Americans and All-Region players from 2025 who are scheduled to return for 2026.
The 2025 ASUN Player of the Year and 2025 ASUN Midfielder of the Year, Khelil appeared in and started 18 matches to propel North Florida to a 2025 ASUN Graphite Division title, 2025 ASUN Tournament title and 2025 NCAA Tournament appearance last season. He was the first ASUN Player of the Year in program history. He earned a unanimous 2025 First Team All-ASUN selection and a 2025 United Soccer Coaches All-Atlantic First Team nod. He added 2025 ASUN All-Tournament Team, 2025 Academic All-ASUN and 2025 CSC Academic All-District team honors.
Khelil notched three goals and three assists for nine points with 1,536 minutes played in 2025. In his midfielder role, he helped North Florida notch a single-season program record nine shutouts. All three of his goals came in ASUN play against Stetson on Oct. 11, Jacksonville on Oct. 25 and Gold Division No. 1 seed Bellarmine in the 2025 ASUN Tournament Final on Nov. 15. He was named ASUN Player of the Week on Oct. 27.
In addition to Khelil, redshirt senior goalkeeper Luciano Natoli was named to the preseason positional watch lists.
The positional announcements also lead up to the watch lists for the prestigious Missouri Athletic Club's Hermann Trophy on the official start date for regular season matches. The MAC Hermann Trophy is presented annually to the Division I National Players of the Year as voted by Division I College Coaches at the end of the regular season. The 2026 recipients will be announced on January 8, 2027, in St. Louis, Mo.
