Madison Espy, freshman
What's your major?
Kinesiology
What's your dream career?
Become a physical therapist for a professional sports team
In 10 years, where do you want to be?
In 10 years I just want to be the happiest I can be while living a life that I love
Why do you play beach volleyball?
I play beach volleyball to become the best player and person I can be. I want to exceed expectations, surpass my ceiling and excel in all that I do
Do you have a favorite moment in your career playing beach volleyball?
I don't have one yet but hope to make so many unforgettable memories over the next four years of playing at UNF
Who/what inspires you?
My family, friends, coaches, and teammates all inspire me to be the best volleyball player and version of myself
What is something about you that people wouldn't expect?
Before I played beach volleyball I was a gymnast and cheerleader and I can still do a backflip to this day!
What's your proudest achievement?
My proudest achievement is that I have never had a B in a class, I kept a 4.0 all throughout high school as well as my first semester of college
What's the most valuable piece of advice you have received?
The best piece of advice that I have received is "show up fully." Meaning, don't dwell on the past and don't worry about what may be in the future, but show up fully in the present.

Night before: Chicken and pasta
Morning of: Bagel breakfast sandwich

Favorite hobby?
Wakesurfing, going to the beach, reading
What does it mean to be a student-athlete?
Being a student-athlete means I get to pursue a college degree and represent my school while I play the sport that I love
