Jaelyn Swann Leads Ospreys with 15 Points, Five Threes
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida women's basketball (5-10, 2-3 ASUN) dropped its rematch against Queens (6-10, 1-4 ASUN), as the Ospreys struggled to find offense in a 68-53 loss on Saturday afternoon.
The Ospreys led by as many as eight points in the first quarter, but weren't able to maintain the scoring consistency throughout the game as the Royals opened up their lead at the half.
Jaelyn Swann had an impressive day from beyond the arc, as she scored 15 points and matched her season-high in threes with five total. Sarah Taub also scored double-digit figures for the first time in her collegiate career with 10 points.

First Half: The Ospreys picked up where they left off against Liberty starting with back-to-back buckets against Queens...they continued their run jumping to a 12-4 lead after Taub had a pair of layups, including going coast-to-coast on a steal...the Royals responded with eight-straight points before Elysa Wesolek drained two shots on the charity line...J. Swann added a three-pointer with just under a minute in the first quarter, but Queens responded to tie it up after the opening period...UNF struggled for the majority of the second quarter, as the Royals ripped off 24 consecutive points going back to the end of the first period...the Ospreys entered the halftime break down 38-17.
Second Half: Taub earned the first points for the Ospreys since the end of the first period with a left-handed finish to the basket...J. Swann got back in her groove from beyond the arc with a made basket from deep to cut into the Queens' lead...UNF scored seven straight points near the end of the period, which included layups from Wesolek and Rougier, as well as another three from J. Swann...Rougier brought UNF within 20 at the end of the third with a pair of points from the free throw line...Rougier scored again quickly to start the fourth quarter...they continued a 9-3 run that included J. Swann's fourth three-pointer of the day...UNF made shots in the last couple minutes, but it wasn't enough to overcome Queens.

UNF gets back on the road next week when they travel up to Kentucky to play Bellarmine on Thursday, Jan. 19, as well as Eastern Kentucky on Saturday, Jan. 21.

- She also was the third Osprey in the past two games to make five or more threes.
- Rougier remained consistent in production with 14 points and six assists.

- On top of a career scoring day, Taub also had three steals for a fifth time on the year.
