"I am excited to welcome Michael Boele back to UNF," Morrow said. "I know she will bring a fresh perspective in the management of our finances and will bring a lot of value to our administrative team. Michael's background and experience will be a tremendous asset in accomplishing the many goals we have set out to achieve."
Boele has already accrued a decorated résumé in the world of college athletics, having served at five different Division I institutions and in two senior level positions at the University of California - Riverside and one at Fresno State University.Â
"I am excited to return to UNF and join the Osprey Family," Boele said. "The Osprey Family competes and excels in the classroom, on the field and in life's great arena. Director of Athletics, Nick Morrow, has a great vision, "The Pursuit", for the program and I look forward to contributing to the success of the vision. I would like to thank AD Nick Morrow and the search committee for this opportunity and I'm honored to be joining this amazing group of student-athletes, coaches and staff here at UNF. Boele managed the Riverside budget and finances through the COVID-19 pandemic and also implemented other programming during that time. Her duties also included, but were not limited, to serving as the sport administrator for multiple programs. A two-year stint further up north in California in "The Valley" at Fresno State saw Boele manage a 30-million dollar budget, while also holding nearly identical responsibilities as her position featured at Riverside.Â
Bookending the better part of a decade in California was her position at Florida Atlantic University as Associate Athletics Director of Business and Finance. From 2007-13, Boele acted as a member of the senior staff leadership team and sport supervisor for eight different programs. Her lone stint in a non-coastal state was her start in collegiate athletics from 1998-2001 at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. There, Boele worked as the ticket manager and athletic business manager. Boele has served on three Division I conference committees, multiple championship host site operations and served as president of the College Athletic Business Management Association (CABMA).
