
North Florida Athletics Boasts 3.52 Department GPA For Spring 2026 Semester

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – University of North Florida Athletics boasted a great Spring 2026 semester in the classroom where it earned a 3.52 department-wide grade-point average.Â

It marked the 30th-consecutive semester that North Florida has recorded better than a 3.0 department grade-point average.Â

"The exceptional academic performance of our North Florida student-athletes reflects a true commitment to excellence," Assistant AD of Student-Athlete Center for Excellence Tara Sunquist said. "This success is made possible through the unwavering dedication of our coaches and the outstanding support of our SACE staff, who continuously champion the holistic development of every student-athlete."

All of the programs achieved at least a 3.29 grade-point average. In total, 287 student-athletes eclipsed a 3.0 average, 205 surpassed a 3.5 average and 51 attained a 4.0 average.Â

Women's Golf led all women's programs with a 3.71 average, while Men's Tennis earned a top men's mark with a 3.58 average. Women's Cross Country led all programs with eight student-athletes tallying a 4.0 average.Â
