TOURNAMENT NOTEBOOK
- This will be the second consecutive appearance, as well as second all-time, for the Ospreys at the Evie Odom Invitational.
- UNF finished last year's meet in seventh after carding 21-over 861 as a team.
- Ospreys are aiming to make it three top-four placements in a row as a team heading into this weekend.
- This will be the first par-70 event played by the Ospreys this season.
- Christin Eisenbeiss will look to repeat her impressive performance at Old Dominion from 2021 after scoring 1-over 211 to share eighth overall.
- Daniela Gonzalez and Jessie Cai also played in last season's tournament, as Gonzalez finished 19th and Cai placed just outside the top 30 spots.
- The field features three Power Five teams, as well as one in-state team with South Florida.
- UNF will now be playing in the same event as Old Dominion, who will be playing host for this tournament, for the third straight time to start the fall season.
- The lineup heading into the opening round will be based off how the Ospreys finished at the Lady Paladin this past week, as well as their season averages so far on the season.
- North Florida begins play on Thursday, Sept. 29, and will either play the final 36 holes on Friday or will stay put with playing the second and final rounds on Sept, 30, and Oct. 1.
FROM THE 19TH HOLE
- It only took two tournaments for Christin Eisenbeiss to earn her first medalist crown of the season. Her combined score of 8-under 208, with two rounds of 4-under 68, helped her to victory at Furman, as she finished with the most birdies with 15 total.
- Wyndom Burnett, who was the top Osprey scorer from the fall debut meet, recorded another solid tournament when she tied for 22nd at 6-over. She looks to keep riding off of her good play heading into this weekend's tournament.
- Jessie Cai rebounded from her fall debut to notch her first top-25 finish of the season joining Burnett at 6-over. She looks to continue to make progress after earning her fifth-career top-25 placement.
- Daniela Gonzalez kept making improvements throughout each round she played this past weekend. Her sights are set on bringing that momentum into the Evie Odom Invitational on Thursday.
- Kaitlynn Washburn will return for her third tournament of the season as well, making it three consecutive events with this lineup. The junior looks to help the Ospreys place once again among the top-five teams at Virginia Beach, Va.Â
