Duo Defeats Tough FIU Squad in the Final

FORT MYERS, Fla. - The first weekend of fall competition for UNF women's tennis featured a memorable final day as the duo of freshman Jasmin Makela and sophomore Isabel Oliveira defeated a pair from FIU to claim the Flight A Doubles Title at the Bedford Cup Sunday, Sept. 25.

The win gives the Ospreys two doubles titles over the weekend after Annabelle Davis and Kendall Nash won the Flight B Doubles crown yesterday.

UNF also competed in the main draw of singles play on the last day, although Jordana Ossa bested Makela in two frames.

Next on the fall slate are the ITA All-Americans in Cary, N.C. next weekend.
