UNF Puts 14 Shots Up in Non-Conference Affair
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida men's soccer (0-5) had more shots and shots on goal than Georgia Southern, but the Eagles (1-4) were the ones that pulled away with the win late in the game on Tuesday evening.
The Ospreys recorded 10 shots to GSU's is six shots in the first half, as well as a 14-12 edge through the entirety of the match. UNF's seven shots on goal was also the most on the year since playing UCF on Aug. 29.

The Ospreys play their second home game in five days when Stetson comes into town to continue ASUN play Saturday, Sept. 17, at 7 pm.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Luke Barforosh put in work early by laying out to get in the way of an early shot in the sixth minute.
- Miguel Quintana had the Ospreys first good look at a goal in the ninth minute, but it great save effort was made near the crossbar.
- In the 20th minute, Gilley snuffed out a good shot attempt from the Eagles at the top of box.
- Georgia Southern had another chance in the 32nd minute, but the shot sailed high over the goal.
- Jaylen Yearwood made a quick-touch shot off of Braden Masker's pass, but another great deflection by the keeper kept it tied in the 37th minute.
- Bendeguz Burka's header went high in the 43rd minute to keep it even at the half.
- Luto Tom opened the second half getting his head on a corner kick that was saved in the 57th minute.
- In the 68th minute, Gilley came through again with another diving save on a hooking shot from the right wing.
- The first goal of the match was finally scored in the 70th minute by Georgia Southern in which they used a blocked shot rebound to cash in at the bottom left corner from the top of the box.
- Braden Masker put together the best late chance for the Ospreys, but the header on goal was saved in the 87th minute.
