Gabrelcik Advances to Final Round of NCAA Men's Golf Championship

Ospreys Finish Tournament as 24th-Placed Team
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - Nick Gabrelcik finished the third round at 8-over 218 to qualify for the final round of stroke play at the NCAA Championship. No. 33 North Florida men's golf also completed its final round of the season as a team with a 24th-place finish on Sunday afternoon.
Gabrelcik, the No. 32-ranked individual in the nation, currently sits tied for 44th out of the 84 golfers advancing to the final round at Grayhawk Golf Club. He will be paired up with Michael Thorbjornsen from Stanford and Daniel Bradbury from Florida State.
The Ospreys jumped a couple more spots in another improved round of 11-over 291 to end the weekend at 55-over 895. They finished the tournament over six ranked teams, including No. 30 East Tennessee State and No. 31 South Florida, as well as ASUN opponent, No. 38 Liberty.
Davis Lee finished the third round with the best score of the day for the Ospreys at 1-over 71 with two birdies, as well as UNF's only eagle on hole four. Robbie Higgins also had a strong performance at 4-over 74 with a pair of birdies, while Cody Carroll finished his year with a birdie on his last hole for 4-over 74.

- Gabrelcik went even-par through the first 13 holes to help him stay on pace for an advancing spot to the final round after scoring 2-over 72 on the day and 8-over 218 overall tied for 44th place.
- The reigning ASUN Golfer of the Year and ASUN Championship medalist crown winner is the first Osprey to advance to the final round as an individual in the NCAA Championship since Philip Knowles in 2018, who finished tied for ninth.
- Higgins completed an excellent sophomore season with a round of 4-over 74 to complete his time in Scottsdale with a share of 87th at 14-over 224.
- Lee had his best round of the weekend by far at 1-over 71 after back-to-back rounds of 7-over 77 to finish tied for 94th.
- Carroll finished with a score of 4-over 74 in the third round to share 109th at 18-over 228.
- Jason Duff took over for Brandon Mancheno in the third round and the freshman rounded out the group at 15-over 85.
- The Ospreys had all four scoring players record multiple birdies during the third round on Monday.
- UNF was one of nine teams in the tournament to score an eagle this weekend courtesy of Lee on the fourth hole.
