Nick Gabrelcik Finishes Tied for 37th at NCAA Championship

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - North Florida sophomore Nick Gabrelcik carded a final round of 2-over to complete the 72-hole tournament at 10-over 290 in the NCAA Championship. Gabrelcik recorded two birdies on the day and finished with six consecutive birdies to grab a share of 37th overall among the field of 77 individuals that advanced to the final round. The No. 32-ranked player in the nation improved his standing by seven spots during Monday's round at Grayhawk Golf Club.
- The reigning back-to-back ASUN Golfer of the Year finished his first 72-hole tournament of the season at 10-over 290 in scorching conditions out west.
- Gabrelcik, who entered the NCAA Championship at No. 32 in Golfstat's Collegiate Rankings, finished the tournament with 44 total pars and 10 total birdies, which both rank inside the top 35 players.
- Recorded the fifth-best score from a non-Power Five school.
- First Osprey to compete in the final round of the NCAA Championship since Philip Knowles in 2018.
- The Trinity, Fla., native wrapped up his sophomore campaign with 20 rounds under par, eight tournaments under par, three medalist crowns, seven top-five finishes, nine top-10 finishes, and 10 top-25 finishes in 13 total tournaments played.
- Also had an average season score of 70.68 per round with his low score of the season at 5-under 65 in two different tournaments.

The men's team complete another banner season during their 2021-22 campaign as the champions of two tournaments, which included defending their home tournament title at The Hayt and taking home their fourth ASUN title in seven seasons. Out of the 10 tournaments the Ospreys played in this spring, they placed inside the top-three teams seven times. With an average team score of 286.94 per round, they also had a total of 65 rounds under par, 18 tournaments under par, 31 top-25 finishes, 19 top-10 finishes, and three medalist crowns. UNF completed its successful season by qualifying as a top-five team in the New Haven Regional to go back to the NCAA Division I Championship for the seventh time in school history.
