Men's Golf Keeps Strong Lead Through Two Rounds at ASUN Championship

Higgins Remains the Leader, Gabrelcik Enters Top Five
ATHENS, Ga. - No. 39 North Florida men's golf keeps its 10-stroke lead after carding 1-under 283 in the second round of the ASUN Championship on Monday afternoon.
The Ospreys have a double-digit advantage over the second-place team, Lipscomb, heading into the final round on Tuesday. They matched their birdie total of 15 from the first day, including 10 birdies on the back nine.
Nick Gabrelcik notched seven birdies in the second round, including the entire back nine at par of better, to finish the day at 5-under 66. He enters the top three along with Robbie Higgins, who scored 1-under 70 to stay the leader in the clubhouse by one stroke.

- Gabrelcik exploded onto the scene after carding 5-under 66 in the second round with seven birdies to jump right back into the top three of the leaderboard.
- He is now within reach of back-to-back top-three individual finishes in the ASUN Championship meet.
- Higgins holds a one-stroke edge as the leader of the field after shooting 1-under 70 to be at 6-under entering the final day of play.
