
TEE SHEET: 2022 ASUN CHAMPIONSHIP

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - No. 39 North Florida men's golf will have its sights set on winning its third ASUN Tournament championship over the last four seasons when it travels to Athens, Ga., to compete in the ASUN Championship from Apr. 24-26.
UNF has five top-three finishes this spring in seven meets and will be looking to add a second team title to their season. They will also have hopes of clinching a berth to one of the six regional tournament sites for the NCAA Championships.
The field of ASUN squads will feature 12 total teams, including three teams ranked in the top 100. Along with UNF, the two teams ranked within the top 100 is Liberty ranked at 36th and Florida Gulf Coast ranked at 53rd.
Nick Gabrelcik was just short of the conference's medalist crown at last season's meet and will look to add a third individual title to his fantastic season thus far. The Osprey group that will be traveling to Athens includes the back-to-back ASUN Golfer of the Year, an ASUN First-Team selection, the ASUN Freshman of the Year, a two-time All-ASUN honoree, and a four-year veteran in the conference meet.

- This will be their 17th appearance in the ASUN Championship since their debut season in 2005.
- The Ospreys have their sights set on winning their third title in four years, as well as their sixth title in 10 years.
- UNF has also finished among the top three teams in 12 of the 16 previous ASUN tournaments played.
-Â Gabrelcik looks to be the fourth Osprey to win the ASUN individual title after finishing as the runner-up by one stroke in last year's meet.
- They have had 11 individuals place within the top-10 over the past five conference tournament meets, including six players making the ASUN All-Tournament team as top-five finishers.
- Seventh tournament outside the state of Florida and the second tournament in the state of Georgia this season.
- The field will feature 12 teams with three teams ranked in the top 100 and two teams within the top-40 teams.
- The conference championship will tee off Sunday morning and will complete the tournament with 18 holes on each day through Tuesday afternoon.
-Â Gabrelcik, who was awarded ASUN Golfer of the Year on Friday, will be ready to lead the Ospreys with hopes of finishing within the top 10 individuals for an eighth time this year.
- Robbie Higgins is coming off an ASUN Golfer of the Week honor where he placed second, which is his career-best finish, and carded 8-under 205 with three straight rounds under par.
- Davis Lee shot two rounds under par in their most recent meet at UVA and will look to keep that trend going attempting to earn his third tournament under par this season at the conference meet.
- Cody Carroll has been consistent throughout this season and will be bringing experience with him in his fourth ASUN tournament meet of his career.
- Jason Duff, who was also selected by the ASUN on Friday as Freshman of the Year, will round out the strong Osprey group that will be heading to Athens.
