JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Ryan Jean had a strong first three innings of work on the hill and Tyler Gerteisen robbed Jud Fabian of a two-run home run in the first, but the Gators (7-2) kept on the pressure as North Florida (1-8) dropped an 11-2 decision to No. 14 UF Tuesday, March 1.

Behind the Line Score

Tyler Gerteisen went way up to rob a home run off the bat from Jud Fabian during just the second at-bat of the game, saving two runs.
Two singles, a walk and a seeing-eye two-RBI single grounded through the left side plated two Gators in the fourth. UF added another on a sac fly for a 3-0 lead.
UNF was a strike away from getting out of a bases-loaded jam, although a hit batter and walk allowed UF to go up, 5-0, in the fifth.
UF moved its lead to 6-0 after a Colby Halter single, stolen base and Jud Fabian RBI single through the left side.
Sterlin Thompson hit a solo shot to left center in the seventh.
A two-run home run from Deric Fabian made it 9-0 Gators in the eighth.
Dallen Leach hit his second double of the game, moved to third on a groundout and scored on a wild pitch in the eighth.
UF's third home run of the game was a two-run homer in the ninth, putting the Gators up 11-1.
Cade Westbrook walked, moved to second on a wild pitch, took another 90 feet on a fly out and scored on Grant Grodi's RBI groundout.
