JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida men's golf will head down to the Bahamas to play in the inaugural Nexus Championship hosted by Auburn at Albany Golf Course from Feb. 14-16.

TOURNAMENT NOTEBOOK
- This will be the first edition of the Nexus Championship hosted by Auburn in the Bahamas.
- It is also the first time that the Ospreys will be leaving the contiguous United States since playing at Hawaii in 2018.
- The tournament field features nine teams that include seven teams currently ranked in the top 60, as well as five teams in the top 40.
- Jacksonville State will be the only other ASUN opponent that will be in this tournament with the Ospreys.
- UNF's projected lineup features the same golfers as their first tournament at Sea Best, with a freshman, two sophomores, a junior and a senior competing in the Bahamas.
- The Ospreys will begin play on Monday and will play 18 holes per day over a three-day span.
SCORECARD REPORT
- Nick Gabrelcik jumped from being ranked 60th to 32nd in the nation by GolfStat after his performances early in the spring season.
- Davis Lee will play a team-leading fifth event this season at New Providence, along with Gabrelcik, after carding 6-over 216 at the Sea Best Invite.
- Jason Duff scored a career-best in 54 holes at Sea Best to earn his third appearance for the Ospreys this season.
- Cody Carroll and Robbie Higgins will both play in their fourth events and will look to improve from their scores from TPC Sawgrass.
- Lance Yates will compete as an individual at the Nexus Championship after placing 10th at the Veterans Intercollegiate as an individual this past week.
FROM THE 19TH HOLE
- UNF finished third in the Sea Best Invitational hosted at TPC Sawgrass after sitting in ninth-place after the completion of the second round.
- Nick Gabrelcik was the individual champion by six strokes, giving him back-to-back titles at the Sea Best Invite and four individual titles in his young career.
- Cooper Smith and Lance Yates recently competed as individuals in the Veterans Intercollegiate with both of them placing within the top 10 on the player's leaderboard.
- Smith took home ASUN Co-Golfer of the Week honors this past week after his 3-under 213 round in the tournament.

North Florida will head back to the states to play in the Coral Creek Club Invitational hosted by Florida Gulf Coast from Feb. 28-Mar. 1 in Placida, Fla.
