Men's Golf Starts Strong in Bahamas at Day One of Nexus Championship

Robbie Higgins Leads The Way Tied for Second
NEW PROVIDENCE - North Florida men's golf sits within the top five teams after the first day of competition in the Bahamas after shooting 19-over 307. The Ospreys currently sit fourth ahead of No. 32-ranked Indiana and ASUN-foe Jacksonville State.
Robbie Higgins led all Osprey golfers with a score of 1-under 71 with three birdies in the first round to put himself tied for second on the player leaderboard.

- Jason Duff (+8), Cody Carroll (+9) and Davis Lee (+10) all posted scores with a shot of each other to round out Monday's group for the Ospreys in the Bahamas.
- Lance Yates, who played as an individual, led all other individuals at 3-over 75 and is tied for 12th with Gabrelcik on the leaderboard.
- Yates was also the leader in average par-five score on the day (4.60, -2).
- UNF is one of three teams with all five players in the top 40 after the first day of competition, as well as the leader of all teams in the tournament for par-three average (3.00, E).
